Time Limits

Each stage must be completed in 12 hours or less. We strongly recommend the swim be completed in 5.5 hours or less. Participants not reaching the respective finish lines within the 12 hour limits will be disqualified, but encouraged to continue each of the following days as a participant.

Application and Entry Fees

Pricing for the event is an inclusive price for staging the event, which includes the athlete and two land crew (the minimum number of crew members required). Included in the fees are the following:

  • $200 non-refundable administrative fee
  • If athlete is invited to race, the entry fee of $1,650 is due upon registration, within one week of invitation

The following are INCLUDED in the registration fee:

  • 3 Race Briefing Brunch Tickets (1 Athlete and 2 Crew)
  • 3 Awards Dinner Tickets (1 Athlete and 2 Crew)
  • Finish line BBQ for Athlete and entire Crew
  • 3 Massages (one at the end of each stage for the athlete or crew)
  • 1 Kayak Rental (plus personal flotation device and paddle)
  • 1 Athlete Shirt and 2 Crew Shirts
  • 1 Athlete Bag of Swag
  • Access to all official event photos
  • Finisher Jacket for Official Finishers 
  • Finisher or Participant Award
  • Memories to last a lifetime!!!

The following are NOT INCLUDED in the registration fee:

  • Accommodations
  • Transportation to and from Phoenix
  • Rental Vehicle
  • Meals other than those listed above
  • Athlete’s race nutrition
  • Personal race supplies
  • Bike equipment, tools and supplies
  • Please note that although we make every attempt to accommodate vegan meals, options are very limited and may be duplicative at our two included race meals (i.e. vegan patties). Vegans are encouraged to bring their own meals to the race briefing and awards celebration.

Note that athletes are responsible for their own and their crew team’s meals on race days, with the exception of the Finish Line BBQ on Day 3. Extra crew shirts, Race Briefing Brunch and Awards Dinner meal tickets, and optional swim escort fees are additional.  Information on these additional costs will be made available with the Official Invitation Kit. You may bring your own swim escort and kayak, but please note that there is nowhere to store a personal kayak overnight at the swim start or in transition.

Entry fees are paid upon official registration and acceptance of the invitation. Invitations not accepted within one (1) week of offer may be withdrawn and reissued to the next qualified applicant.

Refund and Withdrawal Policy

If an athlete is accepted to race Ultraman Arizona 2022, and has to drop out at some point, the following cancellation fees will apply:

  • Cancel before May 31, 2021 = $400 cancellation fee
  • Cancel June 1 to June 30, 2021 = $600 cancellation fee
  • Cancel July 1 to July 31, 2021 = $800 cancellation fee
  • Cancel August 1 to August 31, 2021 = $1,000 cancellation fee
  • Cancel after September 1, 2021 = NO REFUND
